The journey begins with conception, but what if you haven't been able to conceive. This can be a hard road and can easily lead to blame and depression. I know, because I've been there. Don't give up, there are resources to help you down this path. It's a personal topic, and one that should be discussed with your partner. I know it's hard to consider getting medical help, and let's face it, the price is usually overwhelming. Here are a few books that I found particularly helpful, and best of all they are guides that can be used before deciding to go to the doctor.

During the Pregnancy
Hooray! You're pregnant. What an exciting event, your path is now beginning! The next nine months will be quite a rollercoaster. Morning sickness will start in after about a month for most (if this doesn't happen for you, you are very fortunate). Morning sickness is a rather big mis-nomer. It's more like all day sickness! Is there anything that can help? I found eating frequently (yes, do keep food near, especially next to your bed) and take ginger pills. They help with the nausea. Also, I found it easier not to take the pre-natals first thing in the morning. Afternoon or bedtime works best. The 2nd trimester is really the best time. The morning sickness starts to go away, but you are not so large you are constantly uncomfortable. This is the stage to enjoy. Your body will continue to change. A quick tip for constipation during pregnancy (no need to be ashamed, it happens to almost all of us). The tip is simple, and drug free - I wish I had discovered this during preganancy instead of after. The answer is a pear a day. Yes, it's really that simple. Those little green fruits you can find at any grocery store will help to keep you regular and help you avoid hemmorhoids. Knowledge really is power.
